Automatic updating a sheet when a file is added to a folder

Does anyone know how to monitor a folder(s) so if a file is added or if a file is updated that a macro can be executed? I have 32 5th grade students that I bought in-class laptops out of my own money so I could teach with 21st century tools. At various times of the day, files will be sent to a folder and I will not know about it. I need a macro that will then go out and get that file and place its contents in a sheet. Thanks for any help

    Thanks for responding

That is nice but I'm looking for an automatic way: either a routine that watches a folder and when anything happens, it triggers an event that will load the file's contents behind the scene OR and not as nice: a routine that every x seconds looks at a folder(s) to see if any changes. If so, loads the file.
