Summary Document

Hi,

i'm using the following code, to lookup numerous excel files and create a summary document in another excel sheet. The problem is that if another user has one of the numerous sheets open on another computer the code does weird things, such as pulling back the wrong data into the summary document. Any ideas on how this can be fixed if at all.....thanks

You can check to see if the file is already open before proceeding with your routine. Have a look at this Microsoft article. It provides the code for Excel 2000 in the example.
