Renaming JPG images

I know this probably cant be done but its worth asking:

I have 1 column of image filenames (JPG)
And a second column of what they need to be renamed to, or saved as.

Can I write a macro to either rename JPG files, or load and save as JPG images with the new filenames?



If not, does anyone have suggestions on how it might be done using other software or scripting?

How can I make it delete the original file?

(the cells contain the whole pathname and extension)
