    Disable Selecting Tabs

    Hey All,
Not sure if this is possible. I would like to disable the user of an excel worksheet from selecting a tab. They can't be hidden as the first page on entry has a buttons that will direct them to the right sheet. and on that sheet there is a back button. Anyway of disabling selection of tabs?

Why can't you hide the tabs from the Tools menu; Options ; View?

In fact if you don't want user access hide the sheets themselves.
    Hope that helps.

    Good morning faboualfa

Going to Tools > Options, View and ticking the Sheet Tabs box will remove the tabs from view.

Then the user can't click on them!

On Excel 2007, do one of the following to hide a sheet:

    1. Right-click on the tab itself and choose 'Hide'

    or

    2. On the "Home" tab (ribbon) look to the right for the Format icon/drop-down. Click this icon and then click 'Hide & Unhide' under the Visibility heading. Finally, click 'Hide Sheet'. You can Unhide sheets from this menu as well.

    Re: Disable Selecting Tabs

Arrange the windows so the tabs are out of sight.
Protect the workbook and make sure you check the Window check box.
Review Tab, Changes group, Protect Workbook button.
