    Post Importing Consecutive CSVs

    Hi all,
I have a problem. I have multiple CSVs in a folder, all of which match the same format. They are named by date (almost - i.e. B2010607 - where the last 6 digits are the date).

I want to create a spreadsheet where the user chooses the dates to import (from and to), and all the relevant CSVs are then loaded into the same worksheet consecutively - so all the data appears together, with the later ones closer to the bottom.

To clarify, I have a production plant with 2 sub-plants (hence the B1 or B2 at the start of the filename) which saves all its data daily. The data is fairly worthless on its own, but once inside an excel worksheet I can run various pivot tables to extract useful data from it.

    Any help is appreciated!

    Thanks in advance,
    Scott.

    Hey,

Why don't you load all the data into excel and have a column that delinates the date of the file (B2010607). Then you can just source from the excel file. I think that would be easier than trying to read in difference CSV files each time.

    Hi Zander,
I'll have a look at doing it that way. It'll probably be ok in the short term but going forward I want to create some kind of simple way for the operators to load the relevant data and then generate reports from it (the latter being the simple bit!).

    Thanks though,
    Scott.
