select occupied cells in range

I have a sheet which has 500 rows. I need to create code whereas it finds the last entry in column "C" and then copies all cells before to cell "A5" so as to paste to a new workbook.
I've been playing with "final row=range( ....rows. count). end(xxx)" type stuff without any joy.

This example copies A5:Cn (were n is tha last used row in "C") of the Active Sheet to "Book2" Sheet1 "A1".

I've quickly added code to see if it works I've not gor any errors but the data is not being pasted to other workbook. Probably a simple mistake I'm making!!
