No update links when open

I created a macro that opens many files does some things to the files and closes the files. Because I sometimes ask it to run through many files I have it open and close one file at a time. Unfortunately when the macro opens each file excel has a pop up box that asks if I want to update the links. What is the syntax to update links=false?
