Compare names across different workbooks

Is there a way to compare names and their cell references for changes across different versions of a workbook ?

Can you give a little more detail as to what you are trying to do? I'm not sure I understand your question.

i am talking about defined names in a workbook

Insert/Name/Define

these names refer to linked cells..

is there a way to list all these names and their linked cells in a sheet ?

I have not worked with named ranges so I asked the question on another forum. You can go to the link below and see it that helps you any.

The answer provided by Alexander Barnes will create a workbook that contains all the names and the ranges they pertain to that it finds on the activesheet.
