    Locked screen !

I have over 100 spreadsheets used by different users. The problem I initially had was the file size just misteriously expanded. I fixed this by amending the file to copy and paste values on close and insert a form to re input the formulas when i need the calculations.

The problem i am having now is when some is in the spreadsheet and decideds to go for a break they lock there terminal and when they return the file has gone from a 300kb to 3000kb.

does anyone know why this is happening ?

is there a way to save and close the file if it is not used for 2 mins.

You need to resolve the problem, not hide it by forcing the workbook to close.
    Hope that helps.

    hi roy

I have explored all avenues and the only reason the file size increased was due to the large amount of calculations done within each individual sheet. Is there anythhing you can suggest.

I can give you code to close an inactive workbook, but I would suggest that you look at the calculations & see if they can be made more efficient.
