CopyFromRecordset method - ADO recordset is empty - XL auto from Access

Hi all,

I would really appreciate your help with the following:

I'm using Access to automate XL.

All the data resides in a master table in Access.

I'm using an Access query to produce the required view/report of the master data.

I'm retrieving the SQL string of the Access query and trying to export it to XL as an ADO recordset.

However, the recordset seems to be empty, even though the Access query runs fine in Access (in other words the SQL is correct).

The Library Reference to the Excel Object Library is set.
