    Red face Avoid Blanking out of cell using Data validation

    HI,

    I need to prevent the user from deleting the data in a particular column using Data validation formula for that range of cells for eg A1:A10

    Use the custom formula =(COUNTA($A$1:$A$10)=10)

    And uncheck the Ignore Blanks option.

    Avoid deleting data in a column

    Hi,

    Thanks for ur reply.
    But it seems to be working in reverse.
    Actually after giving this data validation formula and uncheck the ignore blank.
    I can able to delete the data in the cells from A1 to A10, but err prompte when entering the data after deletion

    My requirement is to Prevent the user from deleting the data in a particular column.
