Not recognising two values are the same

Good Morning

I have two sheets in the same workbook each with a list of employee numbers. I am trying to get the code to look down a column on the first sheet and copy a subsequent value across.

The code I have (succesfully) used in the past with similar projects goes along the lines of:

However, this time it is not working at all. The values from sheet 1 are in the summary sheet but it is not picking them up at all.

However, if I go in to Sheet 1 and overtype the values with exactly the same value it picks it up and works how it should.

Both sheets are formatted the same and both are "general" category.

Please can somebody save my insanity??

Can you paste a copy or a sample copy of your workbook

This will help us to see why the data is not being traeted as being the same.
