    Matrix Question:sorry in advance.

I'm an excel newb - so sorry in advance.
I'm looking to build a matrix to assess 3 range:
    1. $ amount 5000 to 10000
    2. % 1 to 5
    3. % 1 to 5
I'm thinking of these numbers as if they're on pulleys. Lower the $ amount and the 2 % go up. Lower a percentage and the other 2 numbers (% and $) go up.
for example - if I choose
    1. $7500
    2. what will the % be?
    3. what will the % be?
    thanks

    Hello jackjoe,

Place your data in column "A1:A3" and the formulas in cells "B2:B3". When you change a value in "A", the values in "B" will change. Format cells A2, A3 as Percent with zero decimals. Select the cells and Right Click. Select Format Cells... from the pop up menu. See the attached picture to format the cell for percentages.

Thanks for your quick response. This is close to what I'm looking fro but not quite.
I want to be able to change the $ amount in the range and have the 2 different percentages move accordingly within their range.
    Here's an example.
    $5000
    with one percentage at 5%
and the other percentage at 5%
    When amount changes to
    $10000
One percentage will go down to 1%
and the other will go down to 1%
I want to be able to enter different $amt.s and have the %'s change accordingly.
    Any thoughts?

    Hello jackjoe,

I don't understand what the 2 percentages are in your example.
    Here's an example.
    $5000
    with one percentage at 5%
and the other percentage at 5%
I get that one is 5% of $5000, but what about the other? Are these percentages input by you at random or is there some method to determine them?

    Sincerely,
    Leith Ross
