Search and Add to List

I need two lines of code.

The first line of code will search column A. It will return either True or False for the value searched.

The second line of code will add the searched value to the list, if the value is not found on the list.

Doing the search quickly via a sorted list would be appreciated, but not absolutely necessary.

I only need the generic commands. I can modify them to my needs.
