Auto copy data from one workbook into another.

    Greetings All,

I have two Static Workbooks, and I need to have a macro that will copy data from workbook 1 columns, into workbook 2 columns. I'm working with Excel 2007. I'm sure this is very basic, but I just need some insight.

I have a workbook with name, address, SKU and such, and a different workbook that needs that information from the first one. Both workbook formats will never change, static, however the information in updated daily.

    Thank you for your help.

One easy way to do that is to open WB1 & WB2, click the VIEW tab in WB2, select Macros--> Record Macro, then copy form WB1 and paste into WB2 what you want. When you are finished, click the STOP RECORDING button. Now you have a macro that does what you want, and you can choose to have it executed upon opening the WB, clicking a button, or when you hit a keystroke.

    HTH!

Yes, in fact workbook 2 will be blank except for column headers. I've build a Macro that will copy everything I need from workbook 1, into workbook 2, however I need the macro available to work on workbook 1 even if it is named something other then it is when I build the Macro.

Workbook 1 has a different name each day, and the data is different each day, but the columns always stay the same. That's my pickle.
