    Trying to do TextToColumns

    I copied this code from a search I did in this forum, and I modified the True/False conditions. Other than that, it's identical to what I found in my search. Of course, it doesn't work for me. But I'm not sure why.

    What does the last line do? Help me understand, because I want to get better at this. I appreciate (very much) having the code, but I want to learn even more. Thanks in advance for all the help.

    I would suggest you turn on the VBA recorder and record your actions then post the code back here

    Question

    VBA Noob,

    I'm just lumping the TextToColumns code in with the rest of my VB commands.

    I don't know what needs to be changed when I cut & paste. Just trying to understand why it doesn't work.

    Thanks,

    Instead of using someone else code. Record the actions and post back here

    Unless you really need all these
    xlDoubleQuote,
    ConsecutiveDelimiter:=True,
    Tab:=True,
    Semicolon:=True,
    Comma:=True,
    Space:=True
    or post a sample of before and after data

    Cool

    VBA Noob,

    I'm think I'm starting to catch on.

    Here's my code:

    So I could just build my entire macro by recording the steps, opening the module, copying that into a new module that holds all of the steps? Then I could just run the "big" macro with all the steps in one. Too bad that didn't occur to me earlier. Oh well, I'm new.

    Thanks,
