    Copy, Paste, Delete and sort

    Afternoon Folks,

I have a database of information, and on a daily basis go through the jobs and update any that have been closed or cancelled by marking in row A "closed" or "cancelled".

Ive been searching for a macro that can do the following, but not had a lot of luck :

Search in a sheet named "database" for any that have either "Closed" or "Cancelled" against them, then copy all "Closed" jobs into a sheet named "closed", and any that have been cancelled in a sheet named "cancelled"

Then delete the lines within the "database" sheet and moved all other lines up, basically tidying it up.

A wee point in the right direction would be great.

    Cheers,

    Daywalker.

    Error

    StephenR,

A was a bit of a fan of Milligan, thought he was a really funny man.

The Macro seems to creating a new sheet for some reason, I was looking for the "closed" & "cancelled" jobs copied in exisiting sheets with the same names.

His war diaries are very funny - you should check them out if you haven't already.

To Excel ... if the closed and cancelled sheets already exist try this:

    One last thing

    StephenR,

Yip that works Ok now. But one last favour. At the moment it is copying the information over when macro is run, but deleting previous data, how can I get it it to look at last line and add, so it basically lists all jobs everytime I run the macro in the cancelled and closed sheets ?.

And I have read them, I think the quote stands, he was a lunatic

    Cheers for that

    StephenR,

Thanks a lot for your help, works a treat.

And just a wee Spike closing quote :

And God said, 'Let there be light' and there was light, but the Electricity Board said He would have to wait until Thursday to be connected.

    Cheers again,

    Daywalker
