    Inserting whether a worksheet is protected

    How can I get excel to show in a particular cell whether the active worksheet is protected or not, (not whether a cell is locked or not)

    Many thanks for any help

    ...and welcome to the forum!!

    You will need a UDF (User Defined Function) for this one. Stick this into a normal module :
    Please Login or Register to view this content.
    Then use this formula in your cell :
    =Protection()

    Hi Domonic

    Thankyou for the welcome, the very fast reply and of course the code which I've successfully inserted.
