Attached is a workbook with my problem. Iam trying to get a workbook in excel to email out through gmail not outlook. Keep getting run time error, The "SendUsing" configuration value is invaild. Any Ideas?

Hello emussynski,

I have never been able to send emails through Gmail using CDO. I think is because Gmail requires a secure log on before you can access the SMTP portal.

what about yahoo or other web based emails?

Hello emussynski,

Since Gmail is my primary email, I have never tried connecting to other sites like Yahoo! etc. My advice is to just try it. If you have problems connecting then post back and we can investigate this further.

I found this updated code to send emails using CDO to Gmail. I belive this is from Ron De Bruin. Fill in your user name, password, and recipient (To line) where required. They are marked in red.

thank you, that worked with mix and matching the code I had and the code you sent I was able to email out through gmail and attach the workbook.

What is the code to attach an active sheet using gmail? I have Microsoft office version 2013.
