Disable Editing a Cell Without Protecting the Worksheet

Is there any way I can disable a specific cell from editing after the user makes a selection.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks, Anil

    Are you using Data Validation?
    Hope that helps.

No. Actually I am letting the user enter the number of part types in a cell (say "C4") and then macro creates forms for data entry based on number of part types.

I don't want the user to keep changing the part types (cell "C4") before resetting the form - which necessiates disabling the user from editing this cell ("C4")

    Thanks, Anil

You can Lock the cell when it contains a value, but you will need to protect the sheet.
