I wrote a program in excel. It solves a network of equations and graphs the solutions. It models ionic fluxes across a biological membrane.
The math works. What I have calculated and what I am able to graph match what has been previously published. However, Excel quits about halfway through the calculation. The program is too big to attach, but at a particular cell, it calculates a value based on referenced cells. The referenced cells are all numbers, not dead cells, but this particular cell is dead-- and then the entire calculation dies. It is a NUM error, not a DIV/0 error.
Maybe the program just has too many significant figures to juggle and it quits...? I don't know, and nobody around me at work knows how to fix this either.
I'm not a pro Excel user, and maybe this problem is easily solved. If it is, please suggest some things I might try. I'd like to expand my program to add more complexity.
if you are interested in having a look at the program, IM or email me, and I'll email it to you. It's around 1.3 mb
Thanks!
