how to execute .bas file in MS Excel

    All,

I have created a MS VB macro in MS Excel. I can execute the macro in the spreadsheet in which it is built-in. However to execute the macro for any other excel spreadsheet, I have to open the spreadsheet in which I have built the macro and then execute it in the new spreadsheet.

However I want to know if there is a way of executing the macro without opening the original excel spreadsheet. I know that I can export the macro as a .bas file. However I don't know of how to execute this .bas file or the macro in any other excel spreadsheet.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Anshul

    Hello Anshul,

Add the macro to your Personal.xls workbook. This is a hidden workbook that opens with Excel. It was created to allow you to reuse macros without having to import them every time you open a new workbook. Click the link below for more information...

Deploy your Excel macros from a central file

    Sincerely,
