copy formula's and conditional formatting to another sheet..

is there some way to 'easily' copy over all conditional formatting rules, and formulas from column 'a' in 'sheet 1' to column 'a' in other sheets. i know i can just 'copy' sheet 1 and all rules should copy as well, however, sheets 2-20 already have tons of information in then and i cant just 'start over'. does this make sense to anyone?

    Hi Crizzle,

Why don't you just copy all of column 'a' in sheet 1 and paste into column 'a' in the other sheet, this will copy the formulas and conditional formatting

i wish it were that simple =( unfortunately all the info in column 'a' is different in each sheet, so copying will change the text in the other sheets, which cant happen. thanks for the idea though =)

    Copy conditional formatting from sheet1...

I know I posted a topic similar to this, however, its slightly different now that my work installed excel 2007, this morning. so maybe there is some options in 2007, that was unavailable in 2003. So basically, i have a workbook with 20ish 'sheets' and in sheet 1, column 'a' i have all the conditional formatting that i need. (three different colors based off text entry in column 'b') i know i can just copy and past the formula's from sheet 1 column 'a', into all the other column 'a''s in the other sheets, but with 3 formulas, and 20ish sheets, thats 60 (not counting i have to do this to two separate workbooks. so actually 120) is there some way i can just copy over all the conditional formatting from column a, to the column 'a''s in the other sheets?

and just a heads up, i've gotten tons of help from forum members on here over the past few days, and as far as i've gotten over those days, it would be impossible without the contribution of the members of this community, my thanks truely go out to you. thank you all so much =)

    is that better?
