    Leave Tracker

    I have a sheet for calculating leave. In the first sheet I have given the date as current date : Today().

    The next sheet has all the data . I want to see the leave status each day when ever I open the current status of the leave. So leave = CL.

    How can i calculate it ?

    Hi liarliar,
    Your explanation may make sense to you, but not for others.............

    Hi Dave,

    I dont think that was rocket science which I wrote and people did not understand. Any ways I will again try to explain. In the first sheet we have names and we want to find out the leave as of today. The next sheet has dates with leaves already mentioned date wise.

    I want a macro that will corelate with the date and give the updated status of the leave as and when we open the sheet it will show the leave as of that day.

    Ex: if the current date is 22nd July , then I would like the data till 22nd.

    Rocket scientist or not; your workbook does not show squat. Maybe explain to us, "not so bright people" what "leave as" is.....

    Hi Dave,

    No disrespect to you but it seems you are totally lost. Leave as , means leave or CL that was marked in my sheet. The sheet is quite self explenatory I belive and what I wanted was a daily status of the leave , that is the leave might be planned for on emonth in advance , but if I want to see what is the status as of today then It should calculat the number of leaves as of today .

    Ex: If we take july and that person has filled 10 days and if we take 28 july as current date then it will calculate only till 28th and not the leaves marked after 28 July.

    Hope its Crystal clear for you............

    In Sheet1 B4 and copy down,

    =SUMPRODUCT( (Sheet2!$B$1:$IV$1<= Sheet1!$B$2) * (Sheet2!$A$2:$A$10 = Sheet1!$A4) * (Sheet2!$B$2:$IV$10 = Sheet1!B$3) )
    Entia non sunt multiplicanda sine necessitate
