Hi - this may be a little "off the wall" question.

Several years ago there was a program called Visual Baler that could be used to compile Excel workbooks into standalone executable files without having Excel installed on the user's computer.

I have been unable to find the company currently or what happened to the software. Can anyone help me out on this?

Failing that, what options do I have to accomplish this result? I work in a casino with a need to improve the cashier cage accounting which is currently done using an open office freeware version of a spreadsheet. Even though it is "protected" the cashiers manage to tinker with it and mess it up.

At the end of each shift, they delete their file and the oncoming cashier opens a new file. One of the problems is that they sometimes forget to print one or more of the workbook pages and so the auditors need to "reinvent the wheel" as they do not get any access to the cage computers (which are not networked).

I look forward to hearing what feedback anyone can provide to address and solve this problem.

Thanks.
