Converting individual cells within a range from minutes to decimal hours

    Hello all,

I currently have a range of cells I14:BV900, with some of the cells containing times in minutes simply in the format of a number ie. 70 not 1:10. Is it possible to write a macro that says

    FOR Range I14:BV900

DIVIDE each individual cell within above range by 60 and output to 3 decimal places in the same cell as before.
(so if for example 20 was in I15 and the macro was run when a button in the spreadsheet is clicked it would then show 0.333 afterwards)

Cheers for everything you do guys, learning quick but would be very stuck without this forum sometimes!

    David

You can do this without a macro...

Just type the number 60 in any cell outside the range of concern... and then copy it.

Select your entire range and go to Edit|Paste Special....select Divide and click Ok.

Then go to Format|Cells and select Number from the Number tab and select 3 decimal places.
Where there is a will there are many ways.
