    Password protect 1 sheet

    Good afternoon,
I have one sheet I would like to have a different password on than what is on the workbook.

    Is this possible?

I don't care if they see the sheet below as long as when they try to open it, they can't without the supervisor password.

I'm not quite sure what you are asking.

You can password protect a sheet with any password from the Tolls menu, choose Protection.

If you don't want the sheet to be seen then hide it from the Format menu.
    Hope that helps.

Not without using VBA. I have a template that you could probably make use of which allows users to enter a username and password upon opening the sheet. Once open the user will only have access to the sheets that you, as administrator. have allowed them access to. This access can be on a read only or read write basis.

As administrator, you would have full access to all sheets.

If you want this template, send me a PM with your e-mail address.

    Dominicb,
I have tried to import the sheets like you said to do on the readme tab of the sheet but I keep getting an error on the debug. The bolded part is what it is saying is wrong. I tried to protect the sheet and then move it over but that didn't work either. Any suggestions?

    Hi LarryC

If you have any problems with this template in future, you are better off e-mailing me, just in case I miss the post here. There's no chance of me not seeing your problem then.

You have not really provided enough information here as to what you've done. From around 200 users, this is the first report I've had of a user not being able to copy the sheets across. Can I suggesr you try to copy them across again, icorporating them into the original template I sent you. As long as you haven't deleted or renamed any of the critical sheets there shouldn't be a problem.

If you still can't get it to work, you can e-mail me the spreadsheet and I'll incorporate it in for you.

If it doesn't work I'll send you an e-mail from my work today.

    Thanks!

okay..I think I am on to something. Some sheets I am working with have passwords in them and some don't. I believe that is the problem. I'll keep you updated.
