    Challenging List & Vlookup

    Hi there, here's my situation:

I am doing a user feedback form using Excel. Please refer to the attachment.

I need to collect feedback for "One", "Two", and "Three".

I have done the questions part for the all three, but after the users enter their answers, I need to appear accordingly when I pick "One", "Two" or "Three".

    Anyone, any ideas?

Look at the attachment and you will understand. I've put the headers clearly.

I think you need to re-post your sample showing some expected results....so we can better understand what you are trying to do.

Row 3 is a list consisting of "One", "Two" and "Three".

What I want to achieve is when I choose "One", all questions and answers would appear. Same thing for "Two" and "Three".

But the problem is, in the Answers column, answers are entered by users. Therefore they don't appear. So far I could only make the questions appear whenever "One", "Two" or "Three" is chosen.

The answers would have to be stored in Sheet2 beside the questions.. then you use the Vlookup the same way as you did the questions...

By the Way, you can replace the Vlookup you have with this shorter one:

    =VLOOKUP(A5,INDIRECT($A$3),2,FALSE)

    copied down.

Hmm. Yeah I know that would work. Sounds like there's no way the user can enter answers on sheet 1 huh?

Not very effective method though. But here goes:

User enters answers in sheet 1, macro copies it to sheet 2 where table is. Then the vlookup function would return both qns and ans.

I am not sure how easy that will work... because after you send the questions over, you will need to reinsert the Vlookup formulas...etc...

I think another non-vba solution would be to perhaps have 3 separate forms and have the user fill out the appropriate forms... then in the Master form (which would really not be a form... just a results display)... you can Vlookup those completed forms.

Yea that would do it, but I think it defeats the purpose of the form. =/

Cos the intended purpose was the let the user enter in one sheet.

    Hi
Attached file pulls answers from sheet1 to sheet2 with an IF - vlookup combination. Have I missed something?

    Hi there,

Your method doesn't work the moment the answers are cleared. Remember I have "One", "Two" and "Three"?
