    Visual Basic Code Interruption Message

I have macros that I have been running for over a year. Now when I run macros, I am getting a popup stating the my code has been interrupted. The popup has four buttons, one for continue, end, debug and help. If I click continue, the macros continues, and another one of these messages pops up.

I don't know what I've done that would start these. Can anyone help me?

    Visual Basic Code Interruption Message

    Hi,

If you could send the file as a attachment then it would be easier for us to understand.

or, if you click on debug option, then it will highlight the code in yellow which is causing error. You can also send us the code.

If the code has not changed then maybe the workbook just needs a clean.

Try exporting all the forms and code modules. Then import them back in again.

Did you change any of the options within VBE. Perhaps the Error trapping has changed. In which case check the Tools > Options > General settings.

T H A N K S for your quick replies! The interruption message occurs in ALL the macros I run, not just one. If I click on "Step Into" under macros, I can go through the macros with no problems. It only occurs when the macros is an auto_open one or when I click on run. Weird!!

I checked the Error Trapping under Tools > Options > General settings, and the "Break on Unhandled Errors" option is chosen. I'm not sure if anything else needs to be selected or not.

Is this only happening withg the one workbook?
What is in the auto open macro?
    Hope that helps.

    royUK,

This happens in ALL workbooks. No matter what file I pull up and run, the macros do the same.

Most of the auto_open macros start by requesting a file to open and then when the file is chosen, do various operations, none exactly the same. the interruption first happens right after I open a file and then at various points within the macro. I will go back and see if it occurs at similar commands.

I have solved the problem! I COMPLETELY shut my computer down and restarted it. Don't know what it was, but that did it! All my macros now work with no problems.

Just one thinng, it shouldn't cause this proble, but you should be using the WorkBook_open event not auto-open macros
