How difficult is this and where is a good place to start learning how to do this? Thanks, I've been looking around, but I'm still in the dark about this.

Hi jrcream,
Have you tried looking in Quickbooks Help file to see how to export data, and in what formats you can export? This is not an Excel question.
Alternatively, you can simply Google "export quickbooks to excel" and you'll get quite a few results.
QuickBooks can export data about the people you do business with and the items you buy and sell. It can even export transactions and reports.
Exporting to an Excel file requires Microsoft Excel 2000, 2002, 2003 or 2007.
Before export you decide whether QuickBooks should create an Excel file or a CSV file. Each column in the Excel or CSV file corresponds to a field of QuickBooks data. Once the data is in the file, you can further analyze and modify it as needed.
