    Compressing List

    Hi all,

I am glad to see a forum like this exists! I need help from one of you very talented people in creating a macro for an excel sheet on which I am currently working.

The sheet lists names, job, year worked, and some other information. What need to be able to do is: if the name is the same in say column A, I need the macro to then look at column B. If the jobs are the same in column B, but the years worked are different, I need the macro to list the years in column C. Ultimately, I would want a list that only has one line for each job worked by a person and the years they worked it.

    Any help would be appreciated!
    Thanks!

Perhaps you could attach a small sample of your data, and desired output?

Maddhatta, please do not use unnecessary words in the Thread Title, doing so makes the Form Search less efficient. I have removed "Macro" from the title.
    Hope that helps.

    Quick Question?

Is this even possible? I'm trying to figure out how to do a macro for this but Is it even possible for a macro to cut and paste into a cell that already has text?

    Thanks again!,
    MH

I've assumed your data is in 3 columns - name, ID & title and that the year is always at the end of the title. Hope that helps.

    Thanks!

Thank You so much! I am really really thankful for your help! There is, however, one problem. There is actually 4 columns and the last column is the dates. I will try and fiddle around and see if I can figure it out, but if there was anyway your could repost the code with this revision it would help even more!

    Thanks Again!
