    Highlighting Protected/Unprotected Cells

    Hi VBA Noob and DominicB
I have copied and pasted the codes given by DominicB and now i am wondering what to do next??? i have a sheet which contains things like Name: .. , Title: .. Age:.. (these fields are protected) and i do not want the users to edit these fields, They should be ONLY able to fill the form as mentioned. i MEAN write their names, age, title and things like that( these fields are NOT protected). To make it easier i want these "Fillable" / unprotected cells to be highlighted (not collored). please help me in this

What do you mean by highlighted?

You can set the conditional format based on the protection using the method last posted in the referenced thread.

highlighted = just like in PDF interactive form fields can be highlited by clicking dat option. i want to do that in excel. i mean what user can EDIT will be HIGHLIGHTED not colored. I know we can color the fields and set dat color not to apear in prints. But i do not want to do that, its my last option.

Why have you started a new Thread, stick to the original until solved. You can't expect members to look around to try to understand what has been written before!
    Hope that helps.
