Get closing stock prices from outside data source

Symbol……..Date……..Closing_Price
MSFT……….8/5/08……
GOOG………7/2/08……
ORCL……….6/6/08……


I have a file that I receive every day with ~ 45 rows of data. Column A contains a stock symbol; Column B contains a date. Every day I need to go out to an outside source (such as Yahoo Finance) and get the closing price for each symbol for day indicated and put the results in column C.

This is very time consuming and takes ~ one hour a day to complete. Does anyone have code already that will pull in the data that I am looking for?

Stan, thanks for the great link but not quite what I was looking for.

I want the code to retrieve all the quotes for the symbols in the list in one shot. So for each symbol in Column A, I want the code the find the closing price only for the the date that is indicated in column B.
