Macro question - need to automatically find and replace multiple content

    Hello all,

I know nothing about macros but I'm sure someone here can help me with a question. We have a survey out online that allows people to rate our company website. However, we don't use friendly URLs like www.xyz.com/florida_fortmyers. Instead we use something like www.xyz.com.aspx.communityid=3059.

When the surveys come in, they have the referring URL listed in them and it's got that crazy URL with the community id in it. But no one really knows what that ID is unless you have a reference list to check it against.

I'm wondering if a simple macro can be made that will search for communityid=3059 and replace it with Carmel Valley. And also search for communityid=3944 and replace it with stetson estates, etc, etc, etc. We have lots of communities so it would need to do this many times.

I have no idea how to start a process like this or if it can even be done. Can someone let me know if it's possible and if they have an example file, could you let me know and I'll share my email wtih you so you can send it to me. I'm not an IT person but I might be able to make a couple of changes to get it to do what I need.

    Thanks, I'm really lost here.

    John

    1) What column contains the URLs
    2) Do you have a mapping table that shows the relationship between the community ID and the name.
    3) Where is that table.

As an example file, put up something that has some sample URLs in the right column, and the mapping table. Something can be built based on that example file so you could transfer to your working file.
