    Find Facility - On_Click

    Hi All,

I was wondering if possible i could use an on_click method to open the find facility in excel. I know it may be easier to use the Edit, Find or Ctrl+F way.

But i have people using excel with no past experience what so ever, and i would like to make it as easy as possible....i.e a click of a button that says "Search".

    Thanks,

    Marc

Are you sure there is nothing to find. Did you try doing the same manually

or you could use code like the below to go to the find cell

If it's a table you could use Advance filter

Yes i tried it manually and it worked fine, for some reason the code calls the find facility but does not actually search.

I like the 2nd code you suggested, but i get an error if i type in text that deos not exist.

Can we show a message box saying no record found etc, then loop the process again to start a new search???

    Thanks

Thanks for the 2nd option. But to be honest i think they would prefer the first once which it the actual excel find facility. This is for a work project using Excel 97 - will this make a difference.

    Thanks again
