Check for identical cell and do something

Hi all.
I am in a dilema of how to best approach this problem.
There is a list of PO numbers that include a PO line number. The cutomer wants us to include in the REFERENCE field the PO number and the three digits
PO line number added.
PO=3450121
PO line=017
PO line=201
PO=3417811
PO line=020
PO=5400121
PO line=431
PO line=311
PO line=122

I have all this in two clumns (PO # and PO line)
How do I make a macro or something else that check for all the similar PO numbers and put in a different cell the PO number along with the PO line numbers added to it.
Example.
PO 1- 3450121017201
PO 2- 3417811020
PO 3- 5400121431311122

The number of PO lines and the PO numbers will vary every time in one report
or sheet. The list can go from A1 to A100's
Please help!!!!!!!
I have spend two weeks try to come out with something!!!!

The data is extracted from a Query accessing MAS90. I am not sure if there
is anithing I can do using query to actually manipulate the data directly form there or herein excel.
Please help!!!!!!
