    Advice on form layout.

Good morning all, I have a list of a couple of thousand lines of information. Each line needs to be assigned a building number, a level, and an area. I was thinking the best way to do this quickly would be to user a UserForm with three columns of checkboxes, the three items would be selected and then the next item loaded. But I am not sure whether this would work, if anyone has any advice or comment it would be appreciate, I have relatively little experience with the use of forms.

Why not just write them in? Why use a form at all?

Add the columns & use Data Validation to select the details
    Hope that helps.

Well I figure that with so many lines it will take some considerable time anyway, using a form rather than selecting from a drop down box might only save a second a line to enter the data... but for 10,000 lines that could be 3 hours work.

I can't see how a form would be faster than using data validation & doing it manually, it would still be a big task

Excel has the option to autocomplete from cell values which could be even faster than that.

More to the point, if you can group your lines in any way you will be able to batch edit - which has to be an enormous time saver. (we're not just being idle...)
