I have a program I have been working on for my work. I took it home this weekend and tried to work on it and I received this error

Microsoft Excel has encoutered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

I had the file saved on a thumb drive, so I repeated the step a few times and recieved the error every time.

When I first opened the file, it worked, but when I closed it and saved it to my cpu and reopened I received the error.

I got back to work this morning and everything is working fine here.

I re-installed my laptop harddrive to factory settings last week, I don't know if that had any effect.

A little stumped, appreciate any feedback, maybe my office is corrupted??
