    User Interface

Please see attachments for details, comments, and notes

The first sheet"User Interface" is the design of the application. I did not include the user forms with option buttons because I did not want to make my intial explaination to complicated. (I will need to use three user forms to for the interface). I want to make sure that my point is understood. If you Select a Category from the "Data Entry" sheet, you will see the filter results below.

I would like User Interface to replace be the "Data Entry" sheet and be the design of the user interface and then have the filtered range to appear below this interface. The user would first select the Company. Then the would narrow down the selection to a specifiy column on the ProductList. Last, the user would enter in a keyword to give them the exact search they want. I would like it to be option buttons (not a listbox, not a combo box, not a multipage, etc).

I hope I am making sense. Try testing and studying my attachment should explain it clearly.

    Re: User Interface

Really, how so? Does the attachment not explain it? Let me try again.

1.) Right now, the spreadsheet uses a list box to conduct a search only on theCategoryName column. I want to remove the list box. I do not want to any list box.

2.)I want the search to be filtered with a option button on the Company column.

3.)Then I want to further narrow down my search by filtering with an option button either on the ProductID, Location, ProductName, ProductCategory, or UnitPrice column.

4.)Once the column is choosen, I want the be able to do a find in that column for a particular keyword.

This product list will have about 30,000 rows of data. That is why the multiply search are required. Just select the CategoryName column will not give the approipate results.

The UserInterface sheet is a protype of how I would like the main page to look. Below it, I want the result to appear.

I am not sure where I got the example from, but I downloaded it. Sorry, but I am saying listbox and I actually referring to the comment that says dropdown listin cell E3 on the "DataEntry" sheet

Is it from contextures web site?

You need to look at the code & apply to individual columns, it shouldn't be too difficult

    Re: User Interface

I have included the options buttons, text box, and the command button on the userface. It possible to show my hose to included the range for one of the companies, one of the columns, and the search for the text box?

Once I see one being done, I should be able to continue the code for the rest of them.

    Please see attached for revisions.

    Re: User Interface

Are you using the userforms or the sheet called userinterface?

If the userforms why not one form with a multipage control?

    Re: User Interface

I am open to that idea. How do I go about it? I know there is a multi page control.

    Re: User Interface

I don't understand why you have a user interface sheet and seem to be asking how to use that sheet. Yet you have userforms set up.

Do some reading on using a multipage control as a "wizard" and ask your questions clearly 7 concisely. You will get better results then!

    Red face Re: User Interface

    RoyUK,

I apologize, but I was sending the "Bump No Response" to another thread of mine entitle "Using Scroll Bars to Priortize Range." It seems as though I mistakenly sent the "Bump No Response" to the wrong thread.

To clarify things, the user interface should not have included the three user forms. I did not realize that after I revised the spreadsheet, I left the three user forms in the VBA.

    Sorry for the confusion.
