Macro to Compare Columns A & B and dispaly any duplicates in Columns C & D

Hi,

what I'm after is a macro to check the contents of Column 'A' against column 'B' and display any duplicates in Columns 'C' & 'D'.

N.B. The headings of Columns C & D are :-

C = Value Found in Column A

D = Value Found in Column B

Any duplicate entries logged in columns C & D should be listed in C2,C3,C4....C20 and D2,D3,D4......D20 etc (in effect creating two new lists)

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated

Clarification:

C1 =Value from Column A found in Column B
D1 =Value from Column B found in Column A

Correct?

why 2 lists? if its found in both columns then one will suffice surely , if a is found in b then the reverse would be true, so columns c and d would be the same.

Having said that, my colleague has ever so slightly changed the goals posts !

What he has is two columns of Text i.e. columns 'A' and 'B' and what he would like is a macro to generate the following:-

(a) In column 'C' he wants a unique list of data from columns 'A' & 'B' i.e. no duplicates.

(b) In column 'D' he wants a list of items that only appear in column 'A'

(c) In column 'E' he wants a list of items that only appear in column 'B'


Any assistance would be most welcomed.
