    Renaming files?

I found this formula on another forum, and it seems to suit what I need to do.

I have a folder full of files, and an excel sheet that has 2 columns containing the files names, and the other containing the names that the files should be.

As I understand it this is supposed to rename those files in column a, to the names in column b.

I don't understand this at all, but I get a runtime error 75. the path is correct as far as I know.

Ive put this code in the sheet, not the entire workbook.

I'll give the xls a go, I did try the trailing \ though.

errr... well it did some of them.... now its going to have to be a matter of, "if a file exists with this name, rename it to this one" I cant sit here and manually remove each file name thats been renamed by hand. I might as well just name them all by hand.

Don't know what you're talking about. If it is faster to rename the files manually you obviously should do so. In the previously attached file you can import as many files from within a folder as you like. If you change a name, you obviously have to enter the name somewhere.
Is there anything we missed in your requirements?
