    double click event

    Hello all,

I'm very good with functions and can get a lot of things to work, but when it comes to macros, I am clueless.

What I'm trying to do is a double click event where if I double click on a cell on my worksheet, I would like text to show up (to be more specific, the letter 'x').

Any help on how I could get this to work would be very helpful.

Thanks for the help..it works perfectly. Now, I'm trying to experiment with IF statements and if I double click, to have an x show up, but if I double click the same cell, to remove the x.

Any help on this would be great.

    Thanks!

Thank you for all the help. I was kinda figuring that the case would be the easier road to travel, but wanted to see if I can do the if/then/else. Oh well, as long as it can work in either case, it's cool.

Once again, thank you for all the help.

A case statement is cosmetic; If/ElseIf/Else is a better choice in most cases, including here:

OK...I see what my mistake was. I was missing the EndIf in the whole thing, plus some of the formatting was not correct. With this, it should give me a decent start for basic things to do. Thanks so much for the guidance.
