Stop counting days and strike through

    Hello all,

Been asked to repost here, hopefully someone can help...

Can someone help me perform two tasks on the worksheet i have created and attached,

1, I need to stop the day count once a day has been entered in the progress box (date added in service clearance recieved back cell)

2, Also need to make a function when a Y or Close is entered in the last box the whole row then recieves a strikethrough.

I have never used VBA before...

    Can anyone help?

    Best Regards

    Steve

I think you still have some work on the sheet formulas, but click on the Sheet tab and select VIEW CODE, then paste in this Sheet macro:

I'm not sure about the first one, it seemed like you were saying "when I enter a date in column F stop the formula"...but if you TYPE a date over a formula, the formula is gone so the counting stops, right? I thought perhaps you meant column G and make the date in column F permanent at that point...which is what I did above.

Re: Stop counting days and strike through

Thanks for the inital help the code works for the strikethrough but if i select "No" again i need it to cancel the strikethrough as well.

The reason I need for the days to stop counting in column G is so I can record the number of days overdue column F is showing. This is important for our accounts infomation.

We still need to know when the service clearance for was applied for and when we recieved it back.

Thanks for you help in advance.

    Stevie

Does this work better for you? I could spot you asking for any changes in the first part, only the second:

Re: Stop counting days and strike through

I suggest more information. Post your current workbook with the code installed so I can see what's going on...
