Question Sorting and Copying Results into new Work Sheets

    Hi Everyone,

I'm new to this forum but I'm hoping someone here might be able to help me.

I have a work sheet with about 35,000 lines of data. Every day I have to sort the list by product category (I use auto filter to separate) and then copy the results into a new worksheet, there are about 300 product catagories. I'm new to macros but I'm wondering if there is a macro that can automate this process.

Thanks for your help. Sorry if I got any of the terminology wrong.

So do you want a macro that will look through the 35,000 lines and put each line in a certain tab based on the product category in each row? Are the tabs already named? Are they currently blank?
Is your code running too slowly?
Does your workbook or database have a bunch of duplicate pieces of data?

It will save both time and effort in the long run!

Yes that correct. I need a macro that will take all of the products in one product catagory (so copy the entire row) and paste it into a new sheet.
I already have template created with all of the sheets created to match the product catagory (about 300 or so). The sheets are totally blank. I hope this answers the question.

Can you post the template without compromising secure data? It would be an easy macro to write if I could see the template. I don't even need data, just the template.

Here is an example sheet with the same setup. The column that needs to be sorted is in green. Thanks for your help.
