Any ideas on Macro Recording Problem!

It seems my macro recording is screwed up I'm hoping a repair of office might help!

But the code is garbage almost like an intermediate code that gets put in the editor rather than the final code?

Anyone else seen this (Excel 2007)

I see in your sig. you have 2010 listed.

I assume this is not installed on the same pc you are currently using.

No all my excel's except 2007 are installed on virtual PC

here is a sample, I just recorded macro and selected a cell, colored it yellow and then stopped recording

very strange.

Can you try detect+repair, if you have not already, and see if the problem remains.

Lol, ok update so far

Repaired - no difference
tried to record macro in word, works fine
Disabled all addons, still no luck

now uninstalled excel and re-installing- no luck

Now completely uninstalling office!
