    Unhappy saveas offline server issues

    Hi folks,

sorry if this question has been asked, i have searched and cant find any answers.

I have an macro that basically fills in an excel form from an excel spreadsheet. We had a simple saveas line which saved the file to a predetermined directory on our server eg server\return forms; this worked fine.

in my ultimate wisdom though i wanted to create a folder that uses the same number as the saved file name above, this is the line i tried.

heres the funny thing if i modify the macro as above, from the server it fails to work; however if i go offline by unplugging network lead (using offline files) then the macro works it creates the folder "Returns Number 1234" and then saves the file in this folder "Returns Number 1234.xls".

Excel runs the debugger and highlights the saveas line everytime; i've checked that the server folder (Returns Forms) has full access for authenticated users but i'm still hitting a brickwall!!

    I hope you can help,

    Cheers Carl.

    Welcome to the forum.

Try creating the folder on the network drive before saving the file.

    Thanks for the kind greetings.

By creating the folder do you mean add a line into the macro prior to the save as function?

    Carl.
