Using advanced filter in combination with other filters

I am having some problems trying to filter a list to display exactly what I want to see. The list has one column of part numbers, a second with due dates, and then another with quantity. I want to use an advanced filter on the part numbers to only look at unique entries. Then I want to filter that list using a custom filter on the due dates to only view those due within a certain period. So ultimately I want to view only unique entries due during a given period.

I am able to apply one filter, but when I go to apply the second, the second filter removes the first. For example once I have filtered out duplicates, when I try to filter based on date all of the duplicates return. Is there any way to get around this?

    Thanks for any help.

Edit: Nope, I was wrong, doesn't work for me either.

You'll probably have to NOT filter in place.

Even when filtering not in place, the advanced filter removes by original filter. Also, even if it didn't remove my first filter, the new column would not line up with the rest of the table.

No, what I mean is you'll have to do step #1, then copy the visible data over to another spot/sheet where you can apply your AdvFilter. You can't do it in the same place as the original AutoFilter.

If this is definately the only way to accomplish this then thats that, I would prefer to filter without having to copy and paste to another sheet but if we can confirm that it is necessary than I would call it solved. Thank you for all of your help.

As per this thread's topic, and as stated in post #4: "You can't do it in the same place as the original AutoFilter."
