I'm trying to generate random numbers that will add up to a certain number and am having trouble brainstorming how to do so. For example, I'm trying to get a+b+c=6 with a, b, and c randomly generated to add up to 6. Can anyone help me in going about doing this? I'd appreciate any input, thanks!

You should clarify if you are using integers or real numbers in the equation.

Assuming you want only whole, non-negative numbers,
A1: =RANDBETWEEN(0,6)
B1: =RANDBETWEEN(0, 6-A1)
C1: =6-A1-B1
