Large file auto-updating and graphs sourcing pivot tabes

Hi all - hope you can help.

Couple of quick problems (Excel 2007):

1) I am working with a large excel file and I am finding that some cells are not auto updating when I recalculate a worksheet or the entire workbook.

In order to get some cacuation cells to update, you have to manually click on them and press return!

Colleagues of mine have also come across this problem when working with large Excel files.

Have any of you come across this problem and can you suggest a potential solution?

2) The tookit currently has several graphs which source their data from pivot tables. However, when these pivot tables are updated the graphs do not update to take account of the new pivot table values.

Have any of you come across this problem and can you suggest a potential solution?

If any of you coud help me in either regard I woud be extremely grateful.
