Stop Users From Selecting Another Cell Until Current Selection Receives Data

Hello again, it's been a while - but I have a new weird and wonderful problem:

Amongst the several sheets contained in my workbook, there is one called 'Inspection Report'. Users fill in whatever data is required in the other sheets, and once they get to this one, they are supposed to enter a number from 1 to 3 into Cell X1 (which is currently selected) before they select anything else. Unfortunately, I am currently unable to stop them from doing what they should not be doing.

So, I would like to have a notification of some sort pop up into their face if they click or move the selection anywhere else while Cell X1 is still empty. Something like a validation would be nice.

Ha ha, that's sweet. Just another quick question - can I have the Office Assistant declare the statement, so that the users can have someone other than me to get angry at? (Also because all my other notifications are like that.) Thanks again.

I wouldn't know -- I uninstalled the Office Assistant a day after it arrived.

What I meant though, is to have a validation-type window - you know, one that shows you a nice red X and lets you hit Retry. Possible?

It would require a userform, which seems like massive overkill. I'll leave that one to someone else.

Since I have no idea what a userform is, I'll leave it the way it is. Thanks a million.
